The ignition switch has a plastic switch component right on th very back of it that is held on with a D shaped clip if this had fallen off oor if the switch is faulty then the ignition will stay on possibly but it will not affect your cdi/coil ,if its the barel thats faulty then buy some new ones they come as a pair and have matching keys for the seat lock and ignition lock they are about £15.00.ok adam
