I need a code for my Fiesta car radio but not sure if serial number is corr?
I need a code for my Ford Fiesta radio after replacing the car battery. Unfortunately I cannot get the radio out of the dashboard to get the serial number (I have no record of it as I bought the car second hand with only the registration paperwork). 3 garages have also tried to remove the radio with the correct tool with no joy. I have just tried pressing keys 1 and 6 on the radio together (as someone advised to get the serial number) and the following letters/numbers came up:
MGP then DJ5 then 4-04 with 001 at the lefthand side bottom of the digital display. Is this the coreect serial code does anyone know? It doesn't look like others I found on the web.
If so if there is anyone who can kindly give me a code to try I would be extremely grateful! (The Ford Fiesta is 1998 Ford Ghia 1242cc and radio is 5000 RD E.O.N.)
you need to remove the radio its the only way as the number you need starts with M and is on side of radio the only other option is to go to a ford main dealer with registration documents and pay them something like £25.00 and they can do it using reg. number
