Mend Janome 8000

Very faint display the control does not improve it much?

Memorycraft 8000 by Janome
The display is almost unreadable making it almost impossible for my wife to see it. The adjuster only improves the brightness very little.
I want to be able to improve it but am unsure if it is "Backlit " by a lamp or whether the display itself is faulty, although fairly old the m/c is not used very much.

Hello Bob,
The best thing to do with computerised machine is to take it it in to a Janome or New Home dealer, I would not advise doing it yourself unless you have the proper earthing straps otherwise you may blow the boards completely through static.
