Oven not heating up ?

We are not sure how to work the timer on the oven. The house electricity trip switch tripped and when we tried to put the oven back on everything looks ok but it does not heat up. I think it has something to do with the timer as this happened once before and a visiting relative did something with the timer buttons and it worked. Any advice please
