I noticed it wouldnt sew in reverse,so i checked the switch, disengaged, and then tried to reengage and now it will not raise, I just bought it and have used it only 3x.Its a Brother Innovis-900
If you haven't already tried this turn your wheel on the end one revolution towards you the feed dogs should come up as the macine goes through its natural cycle of a stitch, if they don't move the feed dog lever to other setting and try agian.

Hello Sarah,
I am not sure if you have a mechanical sitch on that machine, open the slide plate and look for the lever to raise or lower the teth.
