How can I prevent my Kenmore Model 92 from jamming?
When sewing two pieces of knit, my old Kenmore sewing machine model 92 is breaking the bobbin thread and sucking the fabric down into the machine. When I work the fabric out of the machine, the thread is tightly knotted and appears to have broken in several places. It continues to happen despite the tension or the speed of the needle. How can I prevent this from happening?
If you sew on any knit fabric you must have an anti static needle and you must sew slowly, the best way is to put a soft toilet roll on your lap and sew over the top then peel off the paper, tension is crucial along with the thread, make sure you use a good mercerised thread no thicker that a 60
