Bissell proHeat 2x water not going round?

I have borrowed my friends bissell proheat 2x carpet cleaner and the water has stopped going round - it not spraying onto the carpet and not being 'sucked' up the front. The cleaning solution seems to be ok.
Do you know what has broken?
