Mend Rover 214 Immobiliser Remote

Alarm system on Rover 214, V reg. 1.4, 3 door?

I have just got a second hand Rover 214, V reg. 1.4, 3 door and i am having problems starting the car after the engine is turned off. The remote control immobilser kicks in and the car won't start. I have to keep fiddleing with the remote control and refit the key and hope it starts. What am I doiung wrong?

Hi,

You would probably be best replacing the remote with a new one. Tech-Tronics in Manchester 0161 869 0050 can supply you with a new remote and a programming gadget for around £90.
