no heating or hot water? suniar duval thelia 23e?

The problem seems to be the clock/programmer. With the slector switch set to 'auto' the display will normally show the current time plus 'on' or 'off'.
When it plays up there is no time in the display and just the 'off' symbol displayed and the boiler wont ignite for heating or water.
