I have a brother xl-4011 sewing machine, i have a problem with the lower stitch- its very loopy! i've tried tightening and loosening the spool and nothing is helping, what else can i try to fix this problem!

it will be tensions adjustment, top tension about 4 or 5, make sure you can just pull the bottom thread through with slight resistence, when you adjust the bobbin tension only turn the screw about a quarter of a turn at a time anti clockwise to loosen and then test and keep doing that until you get it right.
