how do you get a cd out of car stereo it will not eject but does play?

I have a cheap older JVC indash with removable faceplate. There is a cd in the player which will not eject, it tries and then loads again. It will play as well. If I have to remove theplayer I'm going to replace it, so that's not an option

JVC Audio, In-Car Audio Cd Car Eject Play

I have a pontiac 2002 sunfire. The original radio from I guess delphi plays well, but the CD wont eject.

How do i get the CD out?
There is no error code either.
Should I disconnecvt the battery then reconnect?
