my emerson tv (around 1 yr) displays purple-blue in the upper-lefthand corner constantly. i was wondering if there was n e way to fix this.

just quickly wave a magnet past the affected area, it should alter the state of the colour, you may have to do this a couple of times, the best way is to work your way to the outer part of the screen, remember do it quickly it gives a better result,

I've read that if you tape a magnet on the side of a butterfly drill bit and put it on the drill and turn the drill on and point the bit at the spot it will fix it, you could also have an un-shielded magnet sitting on top of it.

I have heard putting a magnet near the fault will correct the picture. I not tried it myself but its worth a try.
