I had the same problem, but my friend suggested that I try using the egg crates made of foam to absorb and bounce off sound. So I did and now my studio is a lot more quiet than it was before but not completely "sound proof"

you can't basicaly.Not without spending a "shed load " of money. Sorry for the pun but thats the truth.
