I think i have an old stopcock as it is a rusty round red tap, everytime it is touched it starts dripping.
I'm worried one day it's going to break and flood my house!!!
We have a man cover in our drive, but there is no way we can turn the water off.
Can anyone tell me if the water board has to come a replace the stopcock or i have to get a plummer?
if its on your property its your responsibility if the taps on the council property ie rd or pavement its the waterboards responsibility . it wont just break so don't panic just get a normal plumber in and quote it also there is normally a little metal cover on the pavement which says water or has the initials of the old water board where the water to the house can be turned of gl
