empisal cresta machine does straight stitching but not any other stitching?

I bought an Empisal Cresta machine model 999A, with overlock,serpentine, zig-zag and buttonhole stitch, it does straight stitching beautiful but skip the other stitches or does one long stitch, what can the problem be?

Hello Henriette,
Either you have a blunt needle or your machine may need retiming if the needle moves side to side but is missing stitches, if the needle does not move side to side when selecting zig zag then the camstack may be split.
