Ed4 Error code on Electrolux EWX14540W Washer Dryer?

this could be a faulty dryer element.the insulation failing to earth causes an ED4 fault code however it can also be a faulty main pcb or a faulty dryer pcb.disconnecting the wires to the dryer element will make it work as a washer (mark all 4 connections so you know where they go on the dryer element).You have no option but to replace the dryer element and see if it then works as this is the cheaper part/option!
