befor i restore my pc ?

i have a philips iqon pc i was told that i have a driver in it that when i down load msn updates it will only go too msn doss so i had too stop the updates from working now i want too restore was told too press f10 thats ok no problem with that but will doing that take out this driver thats in my pc so it will work again with the updates?
