My amcor has been used a lot in the past, but now the cooling coils turn into a block of ice. Am I right in assuming that the thermostat is duff. model tc100
is it below 65 in your basement or wherever you have it? the coils get cold even in the summer, so when it's colder in your basement the dehumidifier will freeze up. if it has a "dryness" setting try turning it down and lowering the fan speed. you may need to put it near a vent from your furnace to keep it from freezing up.
