my pioneer dv-410v stoped working.
When I put a disc it would comeback with a no disc mssg. I used all kinds of different dvd movies but it will always the same. Is there a sensor that would not be working and that's why is not reading the disc?
From the manual: Resetting the player: Use this procedure to reset all the player’s settings to the factory default. AUTO, and 1. Switch the player into standby. 2. Using the front panel buttons, holddown the (stop) button and press STANDBY/ON to switch the player back on. All the player’s settings are now reset. This works.

Mine has this same problem too, and it only played about 50 dvds. What a piece of junk. It even beats Panasonic in the total waste of money stakes.
The £20 dvd my mother bought from dabs is still going strong 3 years later, used daily.
