Mend NSM Prestige 160 Nsm Jukebox Records

NSM Prestige 160 Jukebox fails to spin records?

My mother in law has the NSM Prestige 160 jukebox that until recently had been working fine. But now, when a record selection is made, the carriage moves across the track, and selects and loads the designated record, but then fails to spin it for playback.

Any ideas?

The play motor has an arm with a pivot shaft that gets stiff/sticky and will not allow spring to pull motor shaft against rubber ring to turn record....it is best to remove play motor and clean the pivot shaft...oiling the shaft may work for a while until it gets sticky again....u tube has a video on this subject...

I'm now wondering if you or others might be able to shed some light on what specifically might need to be oiled, and with what kind of lubricant?

Ive got a nsm cityII had the same issue. The guy just just oiled somthing and it worked fine. he said after sitting the oil gets thick and sticky.
