another alternative to fixing a tv turning on and off?

i also have an RCA that turns on and off by it self. I've read all the answers to the questions and i tried to go to the guide button, but when i hit the guide menu it tells me " not availabe in analog mode. ". is there another way to stop the madness of the tv turning on and off every minute?
