My hoover softwave dishwasher (almost 13 years old) fills and empties fine but the spray arms will not spin and the plates/dishes etc remain dry. It seems as though the washer will not work its way through the programmes. Even on the pre-wash 5 minute only cycle it fills and empties fine, but no water being sprayed.
Any ideas for me would be tremendously accepted
if you get a humming sound when its filled the pump motor isnt able to start , this may be caused by a blockage in pump housing ie glass etc or a faulty capacitor , the pump is easy to remove to do the check, if there is no sound of current going to motor it may be a break in the wiring loom inside the bottom of the door panel
