brand new Compaq touchpad keeps freezing?

I just got a new Compaq Presario CQ56 and the touch pad keeps freezing up and the coursor won't move or is very hard to move. The external mouse will work for a while, then it doesnt move properly, it seems to go crazy moving everywhere..

its windows 7...has been doing this since i first got it! If i restore it back to the very original, i will have to re download everything..do u think i should go ahead and do that> it does have virus software

is it working on xp/windows 7 / ect? you could try a system restore " on it, it should take it back to when it was working fine, do you have a up todate anti virus on it ..

Brand new eh, so your asking what to with it. What about taking it back to where you bought it from and getting them to fix it, simples!
