How can I fix my Philips vhs recorder Model VR840/07?

I cannot get my Video recorder to record after the changeover to Digital.It will play a cassette

The reason you cannot get anthing to record, is because you VHS recorder has an analogue tuner. Digital tv signal is, as it says on the box, DIGITAL so thats why you can't record an digital signal on an analogue tuner, catch my drift, numbnuts.

I have a set top box installed and that works ok to switch my anologue tv to Didital ,no problems there

It will not be Digital, Analogue only, ok for playing tapes, you would need a freeview box connected to it to do anything else.
