My dirt devil M088160HD is VERY difficult to push forward. The belt is in tack, the roller is clean and filter is new and installed correctly. Why is it so difficult to push?
I would say it's a total disappointment and I'm going to try to return it.

Ours is very hard to push on our carpet but not on hard floors. I am a 210 lb male with good upper body strength and it’s even a workout for me. We’ll NEVER buy another dirt devil.

I don't have the answer, but mine is also VERY hard to push. My wife can't come close; it's hard for me. And when switched off - no, rolls very easily!
