Scantronic 9200 fault?

Hi,

My Scantronic 9200 sytem is probably 20 years old and has developed a fault. Whenever the power supply is disrupted, either by switching off the mains or through a power cut, the alarm activates and cannot be reset until power is restored.

Is there anyway this can be resolved by me, the user, or does it need the attendance of an expert?
