Mend Miele Repair Washing Leaking

How do I repair a leaky hose on my Miele washing machine?

The hose that goes from the washing machine up to the drain pipe is leaking. It is a heavy plastic hose and it is leaking at the joint where the hose attaches to a j shaped plastic pipe that swivels. The j shaped pipe hooks into the drain hole. Is there a type of sealant that will work? Or do I need a new hose?

If it is leaking at the end of the drain hose at the union to the "U-piece", (the bit that hangs over the sink), just remove the "U-Piece from the end of the hose. You may need to fit aclip around U-piece to shape the hose so that it does not fall out of the sink. Miele had them for their older dishwashers, eg G527.
