Mend Heatstore Aqua-esprite Shower Will Not Switch

my shower will not switch on?

I have an electric shower (Heatstore, Aqua-esprite). Up untill last night it was working ok. My son tried to switch it on by turning the dial (as is normal) and nothing happened. The pull switch works ok but nothing else.
