Camshaft orientation?

The bar will only go in with the cut out at the highest point,the slot is offset.so place cams so offset cut is high,then place bar in,do this on bench,the pully end of cams if you stand that end looking down the cams the lobes should be 10:00 2:00 roghfly towards eachother if no.where near swap cams round ,of cours with bar in is right but only with cams wright way round hope is right for you,remember turn over by hand dont just start ,up,,hope you got new cam and crank bolts and corect torque settings tis crucial or timing will slip and destroy engin,

It's a ford focus style 1.6 petrol 2007. We live in Cyprus and are having great difficulty in trying to get a manual out here without waiting for it to get delivered.

considering you haven`t even given the make and model,watch very carefully your cams are in the correct position for fitting the head,if your no.1 cyl is at tdc and valves on that cyl. are open too much then you will have major problems when you tighten the head down,buy a manual if you are in the slightest doubt.
