Mend Singer 2001 Touch Tronic Will Not

Why Singer Touch Tronic 2001 will not wind bobbin?

I have a Singer Touch Tronic 2001 I found at a thrift store, everything seems to work except winding the bobbin. Any help greatly appreciated.

raise needle to top.open slide plate to check for empty bobbin,touch blindstitch button red light on,touch pattern repeat(circle ) bobbin latch must be moved to extreme right,draw needle thread away from you between pressure foot toes,then up to retainer at left of needle bar.wind at moderate speed hope it make sense
