Did I Break My Kenmore LCD Adjustment Knob?

I turned the adjustment knob on my kenmore 19001 and I must have broke it. The screen was fine before I decided to turn the knob for some supid reason. I tried to get the screen to display properly (like it was before I turned it) but the more I turned the worse it go. The button will keep turning in either direction -- does not reach the point where you would turn it the other way. Now the screen is blank with light or dark backdrop; with no display of buttons. I can touch the screen and hear the beeps, just can not see what/where what selections are being made.

What did I mess up and how can I fix this? I lost my job and was trying to do some sewing to make some money. HELP!

not familiar with your model but you can try this,switch machine on while pressing start button.on some models you will go into service mode and you may just be lucky enough to adjust the screen to normal,,good luck,will try and find some more info on this model,check again later
