contac gamin using their on line form and explain your issue or try this press the bottom right of the screen (user Instructions on garmin site) which does a full reset but you lose favourits, I you don't want to then contact Garmin first they may come up with something different to save your favourites.
Good luck I have problems with my 54LM stuck in a left turn loop sending me in circles in France twice very helpful if you missed something, If I didn't ignore it second time I'd still be there and dizzy. Had to do a reset then and downloaded the system again as instructed.
