Citroen C5 Brake and ABS fault warning?

my abs & handbrake warning light & also lge stop light has appeared on my citreon 2003 2l hdi !!

Your ABS pump is faulty. After some times the ECU will disable your automatic gearbox and hydraulic suspension. You must replace the ABS pump immedietly.

Dear all,
I have the same problem with my C5, the Brake and ABS warning lights switch on from time to time and the air blower switch than off, everything only for a few seconds, afterwards the warning's getting off and the airblower onesmore on.

Depends on the year of the car but it will probably need plugging into a diagnostic machine (you don't have to use a Citroen dealer) to see why the ABS light is on, may be anything from a dirty sensor to the pump assembly or ECU. If the pads are low enough to put the warning light on they should be replaced first. Get the linings checked then move on to diagnostics, 5000 miles is far enough for brakes to wear low enough if you're doing a lot of stop/start driving in a heavy car.
