valve clearances- inlet .08mm or .003 inch, exhaust 0.10mm or .004 inch set at TDC with the engine cold, checking that the 'T' mark on the generator rotor lines up with the pointer/mark on the casing, this should be on the compression stroke where both valves are closed (both tappets will be loose) if not, turn engine over a full 360 degrees forwards to the 'T' mark again. hope this helps.
