My Dimplex XL5N storage heater keeps blasting out heat with no apparent control, even when the output control knob is turned right back. There's what looks like a thermocouple at the right back of the heater which is just dangling. Could this be the problem and if so how do I fix it?
The fact that it's dangling is not the problem but it could have been damaged if its been caught with a vacuum.the whole thermostat will require replacing which includes the thermocouple.A qualified person should really do the job
