I've an issue with the top grill oven section of the Diplomat ADP4550.
The Grill turns on & the element heats up. After around five minutes, the appliance trips off completely.
Is it safe to say the element is blown & a replacement part is needed?
Also, i've noticed with this particular model of diplomat, there doesn't appear to be a fitted grill light. Is there a way to install a grill light for this model?
I replaced the grill element for the diplomat AP4550 today, and much to my dismay, the grill is continuing to trip out after five minutes!
Now that a defective element has essentially been ruled out as the cause - is there anything else that i can do to potentially solve the problem?

The resistance wire of the element - the bit that gets hot - expands with the heat. If it bends and touches the outer sleeve then you get a short to earth and that causes the trip.
The element is not "blown" but it is defective.
Your idea of fitting a grill light is novel but not practical - have you considered using a torch?
