I have a shredder, the motor is arcing on the armature so not sure if its the brushes or the motor. If I can get the motor out will it be possible to get/replace the brushes if they are damaged. It a 4 year old Pro Action 12 sheet cross cut shredder that has had a fair amount of use.

You can search for spares as well as I can, though from your description, it may be that the motor has had it. Is the motor making more noise when it runs? How severe is the arcin a little soarking is probably OK but lots of big blue flashes sounds like it's gone fzzzzzzt
