This is spooky I have the same fault on my 3 year old micra. Timing chain just fixed then 2 switches then another switch for the gear box for an automatic - mine is manual!!! The engine light spends more time on than off!! Guess what now the boot opens and closes at its own request and the alam goes off no idea why and I am now embarrassed to take it back for about the 10th time to the garage. If anyone knows why this is happening with the boot - does not open then opens when key out of ignition (if it feels like it) just like magic.........had enough of this car sorry to hear someone having simular problems!!! This sounds like a known problem with the keyless locking system....damp gets into the unlocking switch on the boot lid and can cause all sorts of weird symptoms including those you mention ...... the only fix is to get a replacement switch fitted at a Nissan dealer.... £75 + labour!!!!!

Do you have this problem where ever your car is, I ask this because I have heard of instances where wireless doorbells,house alarm systems, mobile phones(dect) etc interfere with radio locking devices on some cars.
