I have a Silavent M2000\4 Timer Model 110A in my bathroom. It was getting noisier with time and took longer than usual to turn off after I switched off the light. So I cleaned all the dust inside as I thought that was the source of the problem. Now when I turn the light off, the fan does not stop at all and I have to switch off at the mains instead. Did anybody have this kind of issue before and if so, how can it be fixed?
yes it works on a timer, but the switch is more like a kind of small 'knob switch'. I did turn it down to minimum but didn't solve the problem. Something went wrong while I was cleaning the fan, don't know what... may be it is too old now. anyway thanks.
I might need to replace it.

if it works on a timer, try taking cover off and look for timer switch usually turns by inserting a 1pence turn it down to minimum and replace cover - it should be on shortest cycle and turn off in a minute. if no thing to turn its a fixed time and sounds like you need to replace the fan I guess
