how can i fix my cd player to play cd's again?

I have a 2004 Buick Rainier and the cd player does not play cd's anymore. I only play ones that are store bought,and it worked fine before, but now it say's check cd. I have looked in my manual and the troubleshooting items I have tried, but it still does not work. HELP

I saw your car on this list. You need to take it to the dealer to get the software updated i believe?!?!?!! i have a '04 buick regal that doing the same thing. i'll take it to the dealer tonite to see what happens.
