How to start the Troy Bilt TB90BC trimmer/bushcutter?

We bought it off of our friend. We can not get it to start. He did not have any problems with it. So my question is How do you start it? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help us.

One possibility...I'm also new to the tb90bc. Was having trouble keeping it running. Found a small white plastic screw located in the notch on the top of the housing. I turned this screw about a quarter turn and it ran much better. Not sure but think this may be a permanent choke. My tb90bc was acting like it was either not getting enough gas or was getting to little to run right.

actually the main problem is keeping it stared once getting it started there is something we are doing wrong. sorry for the confusion
