I have a murray 20`` 4.0 hp quattro model 10a902 type 2286. It will run for a few seconds then quit. what could be the problem? The carb possibly.

check air filter, i think of the 4.0hp quattro it'll be paper style, not foam, i have a 5.0 and that's what mine is. if the filter is good, fresh gas in the tank, not old. if it still doesn't work, spark plug, then check carb.
