whats gone wrong with my sat nav?

I ha ve a 53 reg renault laguna initiale fitted with carminat sat nav. Suddenly I find I am in the english channel and after a journey to hertfordshire I was then in the middle of France. Whats going on?

hi, dave, just looking on here for info on sat navs, mines same year tourer, and does the same thing, i will be swimming alongside you any day, your post was months ago, can you tell me if you sorted it and how., i do notice that the signal is only on every now and again, did yours do the same,

sounds like software error, most GPS systems work on Lat & Long co-ordinates and therefore shouldn't be an problem, if oo the other hand it's using another co-ordinate system then the wrong datum maybe the fault due to software errors. there's nothing you can do to fix it needs to be reprogrammed
