How can i fix my packard bell slim view 517 TFT monitor?

i used to be able to view my screen resoluton above 600X800. my PC crashed so i reinstalled windows XP and from then on i cant have a larger screen resoultion. i downloaded the drivers which i have installed. went to the cange the screen resoloution and again it said "vidoe mode not supported". cheers for looking
