Mend White Sew Cute Tension Stitches Sewing Machine

How can I correct stitching issues with my Sew Cute?

I have a White Sew Cute machine that I just cannot seem to correct the tension on. I have adjusted both the bottom and top tensions, but the stitches are still dropped so often, and after about 3 inches, the top thread stops picking up the bobbin thread entirely. If I tighten the top tension at all, my thread breaks. Is there a solution?
