singer concerto 2 sewing continuosly without foot peddle?

Hello My Singer Concerto 2( 9217) is sewing continously as soon as it's switched on, I have read a thread on removing a suppresser from the foot pedal on other singer machines but this foot peddle is electronic air controlled and does not come apart Please can someone help

i just had the same problem.
The pressure switch is probably burnt inside.
this were you put the small hose on from the footpedal

Hello I have managed to take the foot peddle apart and it only has a rubber bulb inside,no electrics. I have managed to get to the motor under the machine cover but i don't know what the suppressor looks like, please can you describe it thank you for your previous answer regards Marian

Hello Marian,
the foot control must come apart somehow, you need to get inside to get to the suppressor because that is what the problem is and that is where the suppressor is usually housed, on rare occassions it is housed near the motor but I think you may have a problem getting inside the machine to check.
