needle hitting metal under bobbin carriage -off sequence with hole?

i have a singer model 4562 and the needle hits the moving metal part in the bobbin carriage - what have i done?? i oiled it and was having problems with the bobbin case staying in place -the thread was bunching up on the bottom of the material and no amount of tension correction would help-needle hits the metal after the hole has passed

I am here for the same problem on 2 Singer sewing machines. I know my problem is the timing, I am still researching how to fix it. I got some decent info at sewusa.com under timing of hook and needle. Good Luck
