Singer Touch & Sew 600e?

I am having a problem with my T&S 600e. I have skipped stitches & the stitch pattern selector does'nt seen right. I put in a new needle & it is threaded properly. It started After having my machine serviced. I took it back to the repair guy & he said there was nothing wrong with it. I can't afford another 50 mile drive (one way) & another $70.00. Any one know if ther is someone who is HONEST & does'nt charge a fortune around Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky who can repair it?

Hello Lois,
It sounds like the machine needs retriming which you or a handy partner or friend can do, I can attach full instructions if you email me but you will have to get my email address on any answer from page 25 down because this site no longer allows email addresses to be shown, remind me of your model number if you email me.
