how can i fix my tecumseh 420 mower?

I was using my mower when it stoped i have checked the plug and petrol but it will not start again.
i have had a look under the cord starter and there is a magnet with the spark plug wire coming from it also a small green wire that comes fron under the grank what is the best thing to do now
