how do you fill the bobbin?

Thread the machine as normal all the way through the eye of the needle, make sure you select straight stitch and make sure the presser foot is up, open the slide plate, push the little lever over to raise the winder, wind the thread round the presser foot screw a few times to take a grip, press on the foot control lightly and the winder will wind the bobbin, when there is enough thread, close the slide plate and the winder will drop down, pull the threads to the back of the machine and start to sew.
